Aussie Rules this Weekend

This weeks games see the Harps play against the Cougars out in Langley at
2.45. Click here for a map of the location. This should be a good game,
as many of the cougars have played with the Harps this year and as have
many of the Harps have played with the Cougars, so there should be no
shortage of friendly rivreally and banter.

The first game is the Burnaby Eagles against the North Delta Bayhawks at
1pm, anyone who wish can head out early and give Delta a hand for numbers.
In the break between the two game there will be a competition for the
Longest Kick and 100 Meter sprint.

After the game everyone is invited back to the Eagles sponsor bar, Nathans
Grill for a bite to eat and some presentations

Unfortunately there is no bus out to the game. So anyone that is driving
out and has space, could you please email Cathal and let him know. Anyone
who needs a lift, email Cathal for info.

There will be Australian Rules Football training on Wednesday nights out
at the bus loop at UBC for anyone not attending
hurling training.

Cathal will also start collect membership from players. Membership is $45. This
money helps run the league and cover the cost of the team. With the
membership you get 15% off of food and game day pint specials at Sammy J
Peppers on Granville Island.

Also we need to start getting confirmation of numbers for people, who are
not heading on the hurling trip to Seattle and are interested in going to
the tournament in Kelowna on June 6th. It is a tournament in which the
Vancouver and Alberta teams participate in a round robin style tournament.
It is a good road trip and Kelowna is a good party town. For anyone who is
interested try the Samesun Hostel, which is cheap and in the middle of
town.(http://www.kelowna.samesun.com/).  Make sure and go to Cheetahs while
you are there.
