After two false starts, 40 horses finally set off in the English Grand National on the 30-fence, four-and-a-half mile marathon & with just two obstacles to clear, Blaklion came to the front & looked the likely winner. However, One For Arthur made a late dash & was cheered home by all 26 people who correctly picked him!
Sergio Garcia won his first major title at his 74th attempt with a sudden death play-off victory over Justin Rose at the Masters. On the first play-off hole, Garcia sunk a birdie putt for victory after Rose could only manage a bogey.
4 people collected points on both events this opening weekend with the Tynan brothers leading the way along with Rita Burke & Neil Smith.
Next up is the World Snooker Championship which kicks off this coming weekend.
